Oh look, hibachi! I want to eat there. Those were my exact words when I saw pictures on Instagram . It took about 15 minutes to get to Bungalows from my house so i’m thinking to myself, this might be my new go-to place to eat.
We arrived at 6:40 pm on a Saturday evening and the place was literally empty. They have enough space to park so don’t worry about that. The decor of the interior didn’t blow me away, it looked very bland. So im hoping the food is amazing. They had Japanese,Continental,Mexican and Nigerian food on the menu, we unanimously settled for continental. We decided to leave the whole hibachi set up for a day we have more friends around .
For Starters, Chika had Spicy Prawn Sushi while Chidinma and I had Fish Fingers.I loved it, everything was right about the fish finger.
For the main course, Chika had In House Fillet Steak,Chidinma had Chicken Brochettes and i had Ricky’s Salmon.
Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.New International Version John 6:35
I was not blown away by the cuban rice, it was ok. The Salmon on the other hand was very good. Mojito was nice. I will be back just to try the other things on the menu but for now ill say its a 5/10 for me.
Chidinma: I wouldn’t say I had an amazing experience but Bungalow hits almost all the marks of a good restaurant. Simple cozy place although they could have done better with the decor. The meal was ok , nothing fantastic. Not in a hurry to visit again anytime soon.
Chika: The ambience was not as cool as the Victoria Island branch.Although the waiters were pretty nice, they need to be trained on guiding customers through the menu.
Lovely cocktails and shooters especially the one I had “f*#@ off” lol .It seems like a nice place for a gathering of friends who want alone time however, my rating will be 5/10.
