On day 3, the weather was a lot warmer and I figured it would be a good day to visit Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. It was about 15 minutes away from where i stayed. If you are into gardens you shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to see the acclaimed most beautiful botanical garden in Africa. Excellent place to have a picnic too.
If you get hungry, stop by at Moyo . I got a 10% discount because i had my iventure card to show(did i mention i got into the garden for free too?) The food was good, portion was fair.
After Lunch, i boarded a City Sightseeing bus and saw most of cape Town. The bus tour was very educative and it was a quick and convenient way to see most of Cape Town with audio commentary. I think it has about 15 language options. I got off at V&A Waterfront. This place was always calling my name. I went to the waterfront everyday and just wandered about. While wandering that day, i decided to check out Ripley’s Believe It or not . Its just after the clock tower at the waterfront. Ripley’s houses strange and bizarre items, some i believed ,others made me laugh out loud.
The one thing i kept marveling over even after i left were Willard Wigan’s paintings . The artist paints in the eye of a needle and you have to use a microscope to see it.AMAZING!
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.
